Hi there. I'm Dieter Limeback, a web developer in Toronto, Canada.
I built my first site in 1996 and have been developing for the web in one form or another since then. I guess that means I like building stuff. I do frontend work, where I focus on standards-compliant, semantic, accessible HTML and CSS, and user-centred interfaces with jQuery. I do backend work with Django and Python (and various associated bits: PostgreSQL, Apache with mod_wsgi, LightTPD or Nginx, memcached, etc.). And lately I have started digging into iPhone and Android development with Appcelerator's Titanium. My only requirements are interesting problems to work on and challenging people to learn from and collaborate with.
I have started and/or redesigned a blog and/or personal site more times than I can recall at the moment, but never seem to get past a few entries. If you have a cure for this disease, please let me know. This current iteration is built with Blogofile, the source code for it is at github, and it's hosted at NearlyFreeSpeech.net.
Offline, I'm a husband and father to two incredible girls — I used up my lifetime allotment of luck in the family department. I have a black belt in Aikido and was a jazz musician in a previous life.
I'm available for freelance work and/or jovial conversation. Please feel free to get in touch. dlimeb@gmail.com
